Black Women
Rising.

When systems fail, community becomes the infrastructure.

Black Women Rising is a community referral network focusing on creating opportunities, referrals, networking and encouragement among Black women impacted by layoffs.

Building Community in Crisis

Black women professionals have faced one of the sharpest unemployment spikes in recent years, reaching 7.8%, a decline not seen in other demographic groups.

As layoffs swept through industries, hundreds of thousands of Black women found themselves navigating a job market that was already biased against them, now made even harder.

Black Women Rising exists because community is what makes the impossible survivable.
